CCSi Awarded Three New Contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense, Homeland Security, and Veterans Affairs

Series of Successful Task Orders Marks Progress in Recently-Graduated Small Business' Mission to Support the IT and Security Priorities of the U.S. Federal Government.

Creative Computing Solutions, Inc. (CCSi), a leading provider of program/project management services, security and information assurance solutions, and enterprise systems engineering to the federal government, today announced that it received and began work in September on three new contracts, building upon their existing work with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the Department of Defense (DoD), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) respectively.

Under the terms of the first contract, which was awarded by the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Informatics and Analytics, Veterans and Consumers Health Informatics Office (V/CHIO), CCSi will provide support for the secure delivery of health information services, business, and clinical work flow processes, including "Secure Messaging"; "Blue Button"; "My Recovery Plan"; "Health Risk Appraisal"; "Veterans Virtual Library"; and additional Personal Health Record (PHR) services.

The company also received a task order under the Alliant Small Business (ASB) Contract Vehicle to support the Defense Information Systems Agency's (DISA) Network Services Department. CCSi will provide strategic planning and business process engineering services to assist the agency's effort to define policies for its DoD-wide 'Unified Communications' planning and deployment strategy.

Additionally, CCSi was awarded a contract under the DHS EAGLE IDIQ, which will allow CCSi to build on its current security and information assurance services implementation within the DHS' Security Operations Center (SOC). CCSi will provide information technology (IT) support services, including engineering and monitoring of the unclassified networks of the DHS headquarters (DHS HQ) Security Operations Center (SOC).

CCSi's Tiffany Mensah Honored as an AFCEA NOVA and March of Dimes "Rising Heroine in Technology"

(CCSi), a leading provider of program/project management services, security and information assurance solutions, and enterprise systems engineering to the federal government, announced today that Benefits/Payroll Specialist, Tiffany Mensah, was honored with the "Rising Heroine in Technology" award at the eleventh annual Heroines in Technology Awards gala held on Friday, October 21st at the Hyatt Regency Reston. The Heroines in Technology Awards, presented by The Northern Virginia Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA NOVA) and the March of Dimes, recognizes women in the Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia technology industries who demonstrate community leadership.

Ms. Mensah has been the guiding force behind CCSi's widespread culture of volunteerism. DISA Strategic Planning and Business Process Re-Engineering Support

CCSi has been awarded a contract to provide strategic planning (technical, programmatic, and process engineering) expertise to assist the DISA Network Services (NS) Directorate in the development of plans, processes, and documentation supporting implementation of the Department of Defense Unified Capabilities. CCSi will support the DISN Capabilities Center (NS2) in the planning and management of the migration and integration of DISN Services and DoD Unified Capabilities providing a full set of end-to-end converged services that provide information superiority to the Commander in Chief, Combatant Commanders, senior leadership, Services, Agencies, and the warfighter. Additionally, CCSi will support the DISN Process Improvement Office (NSF) in facilitating cultural change and process improvement increasing the speed of delivery and reliability of all DISN Unified Capabilities Network Services.

CCSi Awarded a Contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs to support My HealtheVet (MHV) Personal Health Record (PHR) deployment.

MHV is a web-based application that creates an online environment where Veterans, family, and clinicians may come together to optimize Veterans's health care.

CCSi is supporting the national rollout of Secure Messaging, Blue Button, My Recovery Plan, Health Risk Appraisal, Veterans Virtual Library and PHR services and features, along with the commensurate integration and adoption of business and clinical workflow processes across the country. In addition, Secure Messaging efforts will focus in the areas of Primary Care, Sub-specialty care, and non-clinical services. Implications of MHV and its associated features and services are far-reaching: (1) Veterans and Clinicians will be able to communicate and collaborate more easily; (2) the resulting on-line environment will map closely to clinical business practices; (3) Veterans will have an enhanced capability to share their health related information with their famines, advocates, and their healthcare providers both inside and outside the VA. In short MHV is dramatically improving the quality of care for Veterans. Having been a part of the MHV team since 2005, CCSi is proud to be able to continue to support our Veterans and this important VA program into the future.

(CCSi), a leading provider of program management, enterprise systems engineering, and security and information assurance solutions to the federal government, today announced that Manju Bewtra and Tiffany Mensah have been named as finalists in the eleventh annual Heroines in Technology Awards. The Heroines in Technology Awards, presented by The Northern Virginia Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA NOVA) and the March of Dimes, recognizes women in the Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia technology industries who demonstrate community leadership.

In the past year alone, Tiffany and her colleagues have donated more than 175 pounds of food items to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank and donated more than 400 pairs of shoes to Soles4Souls through the program. She considers her greatest single contribution to date to be the book drive she coordinated with the Sandals Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Sandals Resorts International that resulted in the donation of 450 books to the center.

CCSi Gaurav Mathur Recognized as Federal Computer Week's "Rising Stars" in 2011

Creative Computing Solutions, Inc. (CCSi), a leading provider of program management, enterprise systems engineering, and security and information assurance solutions to the federal government, proudly announced that Gaurav Mathur, a project manager and subject matter expert with CCSi, was honored with Federal Computer Week's 2011 Rising Star Award. Mathur is one of 25 individuals honored as an up-and-coming employee in the public or private sector who has made a substantive mark in the government information technology community. Honorees were selected by an independent panel of judges from a pool of more than 120 nominations.

Now in its 6th year, the award program honors individuals who have gone above and beyond their job description to make an impact, and who have clear potential to grow further within their organization and in the community at large.

Mathur was recognized for his significant contributions to both the Veteran Affairs (VA) and the Department of Defense (DoD). His work on the Nationwide Health Information Network (NwHIN) pilot projects further improved the continuity of care for active military personnel transitioning health and benefits records from the DoD to VA. As a result of his efforts, Veterans can now access and transfer treatment records seamlessly to private providers within the VA's legacy systems.

Mathur was also an integral part of the DoD and VA's Blue Button project, a team that completed the Presidential mandate of providing Veterans the ability to securely download their personal health information (PHR). With Mathur's help, the project was completed ahead of schedule, in three monthly cycles, delivering this valuable component of health care to Veterans faster and more securely.

CCSi Awarded Position on the U.S. Department of Army $400 Million "ITS-SB" IDIQ Contract Vehicle

Fast rising enterprise IT & program management firm to support Army's standardization & interoperability initiatives

Under the terms of the contract vehicle, which has a potential performance period of five-years and a ceiling value of $400 million, CCSi will partner with the Army to provide a full range of innovative, IT support services and solutions. These efforts will support the Army's enterprise infrastructure and infostructure goals and further the DoD and Department of Army's standardization and interoperability IT initiatives.

CCSi Awarded Task Order with the VA Health Administration Product Enhancement (VA-HAPE) Portfolio

The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) awarded CCSi a year contract for Technical Management Services (TMS) including a potential option year. The contract is within the Office of Information and Technology (OI&T) supporting the VA Health Administration Product Enhancement (VA-HAPE) program and represents CCSi's first T4 award. CCSi will support the VA-HAPE PMO with TMS in the implementation and roll out of the ICD-10 remediation projects (36). AFCEA and ACT-IAC Honor DCoE Real Warriors Campaign for Innovative Social Media Outreach

CCSi Partners with DCoE to Connect Health Professionals With Veterans and Their Families

Developed for MHS, DCoE's Real Warriors Campaign supports reintegration of returning service members into their communities. ACT-IAC and AFCEA Bethesda Chapter recognized the program for its innovative use of social media to encourage help-seeking behavior in soldiers with post-traumatic stress or mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI).

The campaign was recognized on a program-wide and individual level. American Council for Technology-Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) honored DCoE as one of seven recipients from nearly 100 program nominations with the Excellence and Innovation Award in the Use of Social Media. Kathleen Taylor, Deputy Director, Strategic Communications at DCoE received the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) Bethesda Chapter's Outstanding Achievement Award for her leadership in the development and management of the social media initiative.

On April 12, 2011, the AFCEA Bethesda Chapter announced the selection of CCSi client Defense Center of Excellence as receipt of the Chapter's Annual Achievement Award for its creative use of social media in serving injured uniformed members and their families. CCSi and Defense Centers of Excellence win 2010 ACT-IAC Excellence.Gov award for Excellence and Innovation in the Use of Social Media

On March 16th, 2011 the American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) revealed its seven winning government information technology (IT) programs during its 9th Annual Excellence.Gov Awards luncheon in Washington, D.C. The annual event honors programs that have pushed the boundaries of innovation, quality, and overall effectiveness in the federal government's management and use of IT to improve services to citizens, enhance government operations, and provide a more open and transparent government.

A panel of 35 judges, made up of government and industry executives, considered nearly 100 programs before narrowing the field down to the seven winners recognized at this year's awards presentation. On February 15, 2011, CCSi was notified by BSI that it had achieved an ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certification. The ISO/IEC 27001:2005 standard requires a coordinated and structured integration of information security management, risk management, business impact analysis and controls necessary to safeguard CCSi's information assets. The standard addresses the physical and logical aspects of information security. CCSi announces the start up of a formal CCSi Mentor/Protege program. CCSi Awarded ICE Disaster Recovery Contract

On September 1, 2010, Creative Computing Solutions, Inc (CCSi) was selected by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as the prime contractor on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Disaster Recovery (DR) Services contract. CCSi has achieved its ISO 9001:2008 standards certification. CCSi successfully completes SCAMPI audit for CMMI-SVC Maturity Level 3

Creative Computing Solutions, Inc. has completed all requirements necessary to achieve the Maturity Level 3 (ML3) Certification for Capability Maturity Model Integration - Services (CMMI-SVC) v1.2 + Service System Development (SSD). A CMMI-SVC + SSD Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) Class-A Appraisal was successfully conducted in December. The certification, once approved by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), will be classified as an Organizational Certification-the appraisal reviewed corporate and program-level processes, procedures, practices, and artifacts. The programs selected for evaluation represent CCSi's largest programs, covering over 70 percent of CCSi staff and revenue, and spanning all operating units within the company.

CCSi opens new business office in Arlington, VA

Creative Computing Solutions, Inc has opened a business office in Arlington (Rosslyn) Virginia to move our project staffs closer to our customer, the Department of Homeland Security, US Visit Program. IT Enterprise Architecture Services for DHS Science and Technology Directorate

CCSi was awarded the Office of Information Technology (IT) Business Planning/Enterprise Architecture (EA) contract by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on September 25, 2009. The primary responsibility under this contract is to facilitate the alignment of IT investments with the specific goals of the DHS Science & Technology (S&T) Directorate. CCSi will improve the IT EA process at S&T and provide DHS senior management a tool and process that both strategically and tactically aligns IT investments and resources. CCSi personnel working on site at S&T Headquarters will provide Enterprise Architecture support services including Development of the Business Architecture, Service Component Architecture, Data Architecture, Performance Architecture, and Technology Architecture.

The DHS S&T Directorate is tasked with researching and organizing the scientific, engineering and technological resources of the United States and leveraging these existing resources into technological tools to help protect the homeland. Work under this effort will involve providing support to S&T offices in order to ensure that S&T successfully meets the requirements outlined in all relevant DHS Management Directives and the e-Gov Act regarding the appropriate aligning of IT assets, investment, and resources into an integrated Federal Enterprise Architecture that maps to the mission, goals, and objectives of S&T.

Support Services for DHS US-VISIT Program Office

On September 8, 2009 CCSi was selected by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), as the prime contractor on the US-VISIT IDENT SERV Support contract. The five year program provides project management and technical support services to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) United States Visitor and Immigrant Status Indicator Technology (US-VISIT) Program's Identity Services Branch located in Rosslyn, VA. This effort supports the functional areas of Data Integrity Services, Law Enforcement & Intelligence (LE&I), Biometric Services, and Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning. CCSi provides all services necessary to prepare and deliver all project planning, project management, requirements analysis, technical performance, stakeholder integration/implementation, and continuity of operations support. For delivery of service on this contract CCSi has partnered with Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I3), Global Technology Management (GTM), and Visionary Integration Professionals (VIP)

Additional support will include providing expert advice the Government needs to plan, assess, collaborate, monitor, evaluate program management, and to resolve technical issues involved in operating and sustaining this high-visibility Identity Services organization for the US-VISIT program, its stakeholders, and other related DHS programs and projects. This includes an increased workload associated with emergency operational requirements when needed.

CCSi Wins Important IDIQ Contract at Federal Student Aid

After a proposal evaluation period of nearly a year, on March 27, 2009, the Department of Education awarded CCSi a small-business IDIQ contract for Financial Student Aid's EDSS Program and Project Management Support Services. CCSi was one of six firms to receive an award out of over 50 that submitted bids. The Office of Financial Student Aid will utilize this particular IDIQ contract to select bidders for forthcoming program management and IV&V work in conjunction with their business systems. CCSi assembled a small but complementary team including Keane, Inc. and Blue Canopy. Each company provides specific expertise to support CCSi and “bench strength” for larger, more complex task orders. We expect new task orders to be directly awarded or competed from this IDIQ contract beginning in fiscal year 2010 when ED's major business systems are re-engineered or re-competed.

CCSi Continues Long Standing Support to Defense Health Board

In January 2009, CCSi was successful in its bid for the Department of Defense (DoD) Force Health Protection and Readiness (FHP&R) Defense Health Board (DHB) Support, Analysis and Assessment Task Order, representing yet another successful recompete win for our company. This recompete was unique in that, although CCSi was the incumbent contractor and prime vendor, the task order recompete was conducted under a newly awarded indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract vehicle on which CCSi is not a prime vendor. The TRICARE Evaluation, Analysis, and Management Support (or TEAMS) Contract, bid by prospective vendors in February 2006 and awarded to winners in February 2008, will serve as the TRICARE Management Activity's (TMA's) preferred contract vehicle for acquiring Program Management Support over the 10-year period (beginning in February 2008). CCSi is a subcontractor to Computer Technology Associates (CTA) on this contract, and as such will work through CTA to maintain existing work (should additional work be recompted under TEAMS) and increase our presence within TMA.

CCSi is tasked to provide services/support toward the management, growth, and execution of the DHB and its many responsibilities and activities. More specifically, CCSi will provide program-level subject matter expertise, advice, guidance, and support on administrative, clinical, and programmatic initiatives and issues. The overall objective of CCSi's tasking is to support the organization toward the achievement of all DHB goals and objectives. Finally, CCSi is tasked to support the development, implementation, promulgation, and management of policies and operations associated with DHB and its Subcommittees.

FEMA Awards Two New DHS EAGLE Contract Task Orders to CCSi

CCSi has been awarded two new task orders by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) EAGLE contract.

The DHS/FEMA National Preparedness Directorate awarded CCSi a three year contract on September 29, 2008 to provide IT Support Services to the Office of Business Operations (OBO). CCSi will provide on-site support to the OBO IT Technical Manager. Services to be provided by CCSi in support of the NPD OBO include liaison support with FEMA OCIO, responding to NPD leadership priority IT requests, providing IT related advisory support for NPD on-boarding & out-boarding processes, and providing technical advisory support for NPD system integrations.

CCSi was also awarded a contract on September 30, 2008 to provide FEMA, Informational Technology Enterprise Services Management Support through June 30, 2011. Support will be provided to the Information Technology Division (ITD) in the areas of: Enterprise Service Management Support for OCIO, Assessment of Mission and Business Needs, Performing Process and Workflow Modeling, Identifying and Analyzing Risk; and Preparing Cost-Benefit and Return-on-Investment Analyses.

CCSi Awarded Second Program Support Contract by the TRICARE Management Activity (TMA) Department of Defense Center of Excellence (DCoE) for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Psychological Health (PH).

The newly awarded Task Order, awarded on September 26, 2008 for a September 29, 2008 start date, provides for program management, strategic communications, outreach, clinical research/analysis, and executive-level administrative support to the DCoE Director and Deputy Director, Chief of Staff, and Directorates.

Since November of 2007, CCSi has provided services and support for the organizational development and operation of the DOD Center of Excellence (DCoE) for TBI and PH in the areas of program management, strategic communications, outreach, clinical research/analysis, and executive-level administrative support. Our senior-level staff provides support and advises the DCoE Director, Chief of Staff, and other Senior Government Management Staff on administrative, clinical, and programmatic initiatives and issues, with the end objective being the achievement of all DCoE clinical, research, and educational goals. Additionally, CCSi's team of seasoned professionals has provided support for the development, implementation, promulgation, and management of policies and operations associated with the TBI and PH Programs. Finally, CCSi has provided SME-level program management support for the business process and business operation functions within the DCoE.

The DOD Task Force on Mental Health, established by Section 723 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2006, delivered its report of findings on June 12, 2007. That Report contained 95 recommendations and a strong, positive vision that called for a cultural change to improve and enhance the psychological health and fitness of all Active and Reserve Component Service members and their families. The DOD has embraced the vision and has developed a plan of action to address these 95 Task Force recommendations. To support these activities, CCSi's services to the DCoE are being augmented to provide increased support services to include: Executive Program Management Support (Subject Matter Expert Advisory), Executive Assistance Services, Media Support Services, and Event/Conference Planning and Logistical Support.

Department of Education Announces CCSi Win of Enterprise Data Management contract for Federal Student Aid

On September 25, CCSi was notified that we had won the recompetition of our enterprise data management contract with Federal Student Aid, Department of Education (ED).

During the past two years and with CCSi's support, the Federal Student Aid has formalized an Enterprise Data Management (EDM) program to provide efficient and effective administration of data and metadata. The EDM program has:

  • Established and maintained data-related standards, policies, and procedures to ensure that data is managed as an enterprise asset
  • Produced and disseminated best practice information regarding data-related functions
  • Served the Federal Student Aid business units by offering technical resources (guidance and review) on development projects
CCSi will continue to provide management of agency metadata, the implementation of a master data management model, and continued development of best practices. Under the new contract, ED has specific goals to:
  • Assist with the improvement of Enterprise Analytics at Federal Student Aid
  • Improve data quality
  • Provide a structure, framework, and repository, to capture data assets and facilitate reuse

Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Chief Health Informatics Office (CHIO) Program Management Office (PMO)

On 19 September 2008, CCSi was awarded a Program Management Office (PMO) Task Order to provide services and support to the My HealtheVet (MHV) Program, under the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Office of Information (OI), Chief Health Informatics Office (CHIO). Our newly awarded Task Order provides the Office of the CHIO with senior-level management support for all aspects of program/project lifecycle development, business case analyses, alternative analyses, cost-benefit analyses, and ROI submissions for a variety of programs/projects, including mental health initiatives, spinal cord injury/disorder initiatives, Joint Incentive Fund (JIF) initiatives, and MHV initiatives. Specifically, CCSi will provide support to the areas of Impact Assessment, Business Case Development and Review/Analysis, Financial Analyses, Performance Measurement, Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC), Cost-Benefit Analyses, and Oversight of User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

The Chief Health Informatics Office, MHV Office is part of the OI, VHA. The purpose of MHV is to work collaboratively with other OI components and VHA Program Offices to develop, implement, and monitor content in support of health care for veterans. This includes the coordination of Information Technology Lifecycle Management for MHV Systems and Portfolios. The Office functions as a matrix organization to identify and work through cross-cutting issues, and to maximize OI and Program Office resources in support of the MHV Program.

The MHV Program Management Office (PMO) is defining the relationships and processes to direct and control the MHV Program into a centralized Program Governance Model. This Governance Model will allow the MHV organization to maximize the Program's business value within the VA and to end users while reducing risk. The goal of My HealtheVet Product Governance is to ensure the MHV Product provides outstanding support for the veterans and their health care providers. MHV has a broad spectrum of end users with many different needs from the patient-provider partnership. To ensure the Product is designed and delivered to meet the needs of all end users, MHV Governance must include product governance, which encompasses practices around product strategy, product life cycle management, as well as product marketing and product positioning within the veteran health consumer audience. CCSi will play a major role in supporting the development, management, and measurement of the Program's Governance Model.

The CCSi Team brings a wealth of corporate experience to this Project not only by providing personnel who have unique experience in similar projects, but also through similar (previous/current) engagements, including support to the MHV Program in a similar role. Since September of 2005, CCSi has supported MHV through our Program Management/Program Control Office (PCO) Support Services Task Order, under which CCSi has provided senior-level management support in the areas of Program Management Support, Program Control, Governance/Oversight Support, Work Group Facilitation, Program Reporting, Financial Analysis/Management, Performance Validation (Testing), and Release and Change Control Management.

CCSi Welcomes Tor Opsahl as Senior Vice President of Defense and Intelligence

July 14, 2008, CCSi would like to announce that Tor Opsahl joined the company as our Senior Vice President of Defense and Intelligence. Dr. Opsahl brings 20 years of broad IT and business experiences in the federal market place, having worked with both DoD and civilian agencies. He has managed both business development organizations and operating divisions, most recently running the largest operating group within Perot Government Services, with an annual revenue of $300 milllion. Prior to Perot, Dr. Opsahl held senior leadership positions with QSS Group, Inc., ACS, RMS/Intellisource, and the Virginia Center for Innovative Technology.

CCSi Awarded Contract to Support ePMO Project for Customs and Border Protection

On May 29, 2008, CCSi was awarded its second contract at Customs and Border Protection (CBP). This work for the electronic Program Management Office (ePMO) project began in early June for the Office of Field Operation (OFO) for CBP. With partner Zappold Advisors, CCSi began a 3 year effort to provide support for 3 tasks: (1) Securing America's Borders at Ports of Entry (SABPOE); (2) the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI); and (3) the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA). Initially, this support will include project management support services including process management, consulting, creating and maintaining a Web-based collaborative environment using the ePMO software suite and providing active content management of the site. CCSi will also assist in task planning, meeting coordination and facilitation, risk management, and collaboration with Training and Online Help Documentation. ePMO is an integrated, Web-based, Government-Off-The Shelf (GOTS) program management information system tool that simplifies workflow, decision making, knowledge management, and information assimilation via a standards-based, open architecture that is secure, scalable, reliable, and cost effective.

This is CCSi's eighth Task Order awarded under the DHS EAGLE contract vehicle since April 2007 and is the second Task Order awarded for work at CBP (the first was the CBP Currency and Monetary Instrument Report-CMIR).

Mr. Bledsoe brings 24+ years of experience in business and technology services, including operations, solution architecture, strategic planning, technical consulting, and business development for commercial and federal clients. Prior to joining CCSi, Mr. Bledsoe served in senior technical roles as Master Solution Architect, and Senior Consulting Engineer at Hewlett-Packard and Computer Sciences Corporation respectively. Mrs. Palermo brings over 28 years of experience in Information Technology Services. Prior to joining CCSi she directed technical solutions development and led new business pursuits, which resulted in the capture of over $10 billion of new business revenue for Computer Sciences Corporation in both federal and commercial business areas. Mrs. Palermo has also held other senior management roles, previously working for Toshiba Corporation, TransAmerica Corporation, and American Honda Motors. She gained essential experience in networks and data center global operations while working for these dynamic and global corporations. The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) today announced the award of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) Technical, Management, Development, and Maintenance Support Services task order under the DHS Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions (EAGLE) contract to CCSi vehicle to CCSi. CCSi Awarded HRSA Information Security Contract Level Management Support and C&A BPA

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an Operating Division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) today issued a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to Creative Computing Solutions (CCSi). This BPA is to facilitate the acquisition of services in support of the HRSA Information Security Program within the Office of Information Technology (OIT).

CCSi Welcomes Britt Triplett as Vice President of Healthcare Services

September 6, 2007, CCSi is pleased to announce that Britt Triplett has joined the company as Vice President for Healthcare Services. Mr. Triplett is a former United States Army Medical Service Corps Officer who offers over 12 years of experience in the health care industry, with special focus on health care information technology. Prior to joining CCSi, he directed all Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Programs for CACI International, Inc., served as the Senior Program Manager for health care information technology within the Federal Healthcare Division of Lockheed Martin Information Technology (LMIT), and managed Military Health System (MHS) Programs and Projects for Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) Federal Healthcare. He earned his MBA (Emphasis in Health Care Administration) from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, and his B.S. in Health Care Administration from the University of Alabama.

NOAA Awards NMFS Wide Area Network Modernization and Support Contract To CCSi

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has announced the award of a 3-year contract to CCSi for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Wide Area Network Modernization and Support. Under this contract CCSi is responsible for providing network services and technologies to complete the transition of NMFS WAN links to NOAANet and operate the NMFS' WAN supporting 23 sites nationwide. Modernization activities include implementing the changes needed in the LANs or entry points of LANs to take advantage of the modernized MPLS network.

DHS Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Awards Remedial Action Management Program Contract to CCSi

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced the award of the Remedial Action Management Program (RAMP) to CCSi under the DHS EAGLE contract. FEMA's RAMP is a process-driven management support tool, with an associated web-based application, designed to identify and remedy programmatic/systemic response and recovery issues for improvement and highlight smart practices and lessons learned.

CCSi Program Management tasking for the RAMP program includes services to develop monthly reports from existing web application data, develop briefings to senior management regarding status of ongoing issues, develop a monthly newsletter highlighting significant and recently resolved RAMP events, and assist the Program Manager in coordinating, overseeing, and troubleshooting remediation action plans, and coordinating facilitators to identify issues following disaster response operations and training exercises. Other tasking includes: Application Management - to conduct routine maintenance of the RAMP web application; Process Improvement - to review the overall RAMP process, making recommendations for improvement, and updating existing RAMP process literature and handbooks; and Training - to support training needs of those closely involved with RAMP.

DHS Transportation Security Administration Awards Business Activities Support Services Task Order to CCSi

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has announced that Creative Computing Solutions, Inc. (CCSi) has been awarded a task order for Business Activities Support Services against the Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions (EAGLE) contract. To ensure the success of current and future programs, TSA requires a Contractor to provide Business Activities Support Services including communication support, strategic planning support, and financial management support for the Information Technology Division (ITD) Business Activities Office (BAO). Successful execution of these activities maximizes productivity, efficiency, and further promotes the TSA mission through effective IT products and services.

CCSi has been tasked to perform Business Activities Support Services and provide Communication support skill sets, Financial Management support skill sets, and Strategic Planning support skill sets in support of the ITD and TSA mission. CCSi Awarded Deepwater Certification and Accreditation Task Order by USCG

Creative Computing Solutions, Inc. (CCSi) has been awarded an Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions (EAGLE) contract task order to provide direct support to the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) in achieving full certification and accreditation (C&A) of systems overseen by the Deepwater Program Office. Certification primarily addresses both software and hardware safeguards, but also encompasses all aspects of security to include procedural, physical, and personnel security. CCSi has teamed with EDO Corporation's Professional and Engineering Services Sector in support of this task order.

Accreditation is the authorization and approval granted to an IT system to be used in an operational environment. The final accreditation of a system must be approved by the USCG's Certification and Designated Approving Authority, which uses a set of require­ments to assess the residual risk. The C&A process is a manual audit of policies, procedures, controls, and contingency planning. The outcome of the C&A process is to develop a collection of documents (a C&A package) that describe the security posture of the systems, evaluate its risks, and make recommendations to correct its deficiencies. USCG systems are required to complete a C&A and an annual self-assessment.

DHS Transportation Security Administration Awards CCSi Enterprise Architecture Task Order

Creative Computing Solutions, Inc. (CCSi) will provide technical consulting and professional facilitation services to support the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA's) enterprise architectural efforts managed by the agency's CIO. This Enterprise Architecture task order is awarded to CCSi under Functional Category 5, Management Support Services, of the Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions (EAGLE) contract. In accordance with guidance from the Federal Chief Information Officers Council, TSA includes in its Enterprise Architecture both models of its current business and technology environments (the current architecture) and the future business and technology models needed to improve performance and achieve strategic goals (the target architecture). CCSi will develop and document in collaboration with TSA, their full enterprise architecture in accordance with federal guidelines using the MEGA ® suite of enterprise architecture design tools. CCSi has teamed with Mega Business Consulting and Stanley Associates for the performance of these services.

The target TSA Enterprise Architecture will provide an integrated framework for evolving or maintaining existing information technology and acquiring new information technology to achieve the agency's strategic goals and information resources management goals, as mandated by the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 and in accordance with the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) Reference Models and the Federal Enterprise Architecture framework (FEAF). CCSi will plan, manage and execute government integrated product teams (IPTs) and workshops, and will facilitate groups composed of government civilians and government contractors.

DHS Customs and Border Protection Awards CCSi Business Outsourcing Task Order

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has awarded Creative Computing Solutions, Inc. (CCSi) a task order under the Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions (EAGLE) contract to provide Currency and Monetary Instrument Report (CMIR) services. CCSi will provide scanning and on-line data transcription/entry services necessary to support The Enforcement Communications System (TECS) for those CBP and other Federal offices that are not presently equipped to process their own TECS-related applications. Services include reviewing documents/images for completeness and correctness; interpreting the documents to determine data to be entered; analyzing data as required by applicable procedures, and transcribing the data. For performance of CMIR activities CCSi has teamed with ITS Corporation (ITS). ITS has a legacy relationship with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) operational organizations dating back to 1983, when it began its work for the U.S. Customs Service.

CCSi Wins Recompete of DOD Mental Health Task Force Contract

CCSi was recently awarded a new contract supporting the Office of the Army Surgeon General and the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs. CCSi has been performing these services since August 2006. The DOD Mental Health Task Force contract was established in response to a Congressional mandate to examine issues relating to mental health in the DOD and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). As a part of this effort, CCSi works with the Task Force to conduct a comprehensive assessment of mental health systems in the DOD and VA and formulate recommendations for improvement to be submitted to the Secretary of Defense.

CCSi Wins New Work at the Department of Housing and Urban Development

CCSi has recently been awarded a Task Order to provide call center support services to business customers and end users of Public and Indian Housing Information Center (PIC). This Task Order work will be added to CCSi's existing contract to manage the Real Estate Assessment's Center (REAC) Technical Assistance Center (TAC) Hotline. The PIC involves providing information and technical assistance for (1) the Rental Housing Assistance process (2) the Inventory Management System, which includes the inventory of units and tenants organic to the Public and Native American Programs, (3) the Enterprise Income Verification and Resource Allocation applications, which include capital funds, general grants, and operating funds and (4) the Housing Choice Voucher Program and Voucher Management System. The TAC provides the first line of contact for all REAC and PIC incoming Inquiries (via telephone, web, e-mail, mail, and facsimiles). PIC inquiries will represent approximately 100-150 additional calls, emails, and correspondence every business day. There are workload fluctuations throughout the workday which affect the nature of the TAC inquiries and the varying starting and ending times of business days across supported time zones. There are also fluctuations in workload caused by business requirements (submission schedules), process and systems changes. PIH-REAC Technical Assistance Center operation hours are weekdays, 7:00am-8:30pm EST

CCSi Wins Federal Student Aid Enterprise Data Management Contract

CCSi has recently been awarded a Task Order by the Department of Education (ED) under its Blanket Purchase Agreement to formalize Enterprise Data Management (EDM) within the office of Federal Student Aid (FSA). The EDM initiative will provide efficient and effective administration of data and meta data, and, once implemented, will also support business functions by emphasizing data as an enterprise asset. EDM will be developed and executed to deliver to FSA measurable improvements in the areas of data quality and data consistency. EDM will be focused on an overall approach for streamlining and integrating systems to ensure that accurate and consistent data is exchanged between FSA's customers, partners, and compliance and oversight organizations. In addition, the CCSi team will assist Federal Student Aid in documenting and developing best practices regarding Enterprise Data Management. The Goal of EDM initiative is to implement an enterprise data administration model, which is comprised of the following elements; data standardization, data governance, metadata management, and data model management. Over the next several years, Federal Student Aid will be standardizing metadata for all of its major systems development initiatives.

CCSi Wins DHS EAGLE Category 5 Small Business Award

The Department of Homeland Security today announced the winners in the Small Business category for the Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions (EAGLE) contract. Creative Computing Solutions, Inc. (CCSi) was one of only 28 companies to receive a small business award on this $45B contract, and one of only three winners in Functional Category 5, Management Support Services. The Department of Homeland Security is comprised of 22 agencies, with varying legacy IT systems in place. The EAGLE contract will assist DHS in consolidating and streamlining IT operations across the Department. EAGLE is divided into two size standards (full and open and small business) and five service categories: 1) infrastructure engineering design, development, implementation and integration, 2) operations and maintenance, 3) independent test, validation and verification, 4) software design, and 5) management support services. CCSi Wins Three Department of Defense Healthcare Contracts

CCSi's healthcare team was recently awarded three new contracts supporting the Office of the Army Surgeon General and the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs. The DoD Mental Health Task Force contract was established in response to a Congressional mandate to examine issues relating to mental health in the DoD and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). As a part of this effort, the team will work with the Task Force to conduct a comprehensive assessment of mental health systems in the DoD and VA and formulate recommendations for improvement to be submitted to the Secretary of Defense. For the DoD Health Policy contract, the healthcare team will work closely with a variety of committees under Health Affairs to conduct studies, prepare reports and other documents, and provide meeting support necessary to enhance the health care provided by the DoD's Military Health System. The third award received by the healthcare team encompasses program support, analysis, and assessment for both the Defense Health Board and Army Blood Program. For the Defense Health Board (formerly the Armed Forces Epidemiological Board), the healthcare team will provide advisory and administrative support, database development and management, and website maintenance related to the development and promulgation of recommendations on a wide range of medical issues. For the Army Blood Program, the team will assist in the development and implementation of standardized operating procedures for blood donation and transfusion centers.

CCSi Wins Federal Student Aid Visioning Contract

CCSi won a Task Order under our Department of Education Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to provide Visioning for the agency's ADvance solution. Working collaboratively with the Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA), CCSi is creating enterprise visioning documentation that will guide the modernization of their front-end operations. CCSi's Project Manager for this effort is Anna Jaynes, an experienced RUP facilitator. She is being assisted in this effort by Vishal Jain, who brings his RUP experience from CCSi's MyHealth eVet contract at the Department of Veterans Affairs.

CCSi Brings on New Director to Boost Healthcare Team

Karen TRIPLETT, RN, MSN has joined CCSi as our new Director of Healthcare Programs, bringing with her years of experience working in healthcare. Ms. Triplett offers more than 20 years of health care clinical and information systems experience in the diverse fields of nursing, management, research, informatics, education, and business.

Her focus over the last ten years has been commercial and Federal health care consulting in the area of information systems. She holds Master of Science degrees in Nursing Administration and Nursing Education from George Mason University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from George Mason University. Since joining, Ms. Triplett has built CCSi's Department of Defense Healthcare Team, including: Severine Bennett, MAM, whose background is in DoD event management, logistics and facilitation; Thomas Burke, MD, MPH, a physician consultant who held an active duty senior position developing mental health policy in the Office of the Secretary of Defense; Deirdre Farrell, MA, who brings 10 years of research experience in developmental psychology, adult psychiatry, and healthcare quality management; Barbara Happ, RN, PhD, who has over 30 years of experience in medical research, informatics, education and consulting; Katherine Surman, RN, MSA, who offers more than 25 years of experience in clinical nursing and healthcare management in both civilian and military settings; Carolyn Reyes, MPH, who brings over 7 years of healthcare research and policy consulting experience; Lisa Jarrett, BSW, who brings over 18 years of healthcare consulting experience, focusing on analytics and functional healthcare consulting; Meredith Richards, MA, who holds Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology; and Abigail Wilson, MPH, who has over ten years of health-related research experience with an emphasis on public health, epidemiology, education, laboratory research, and health policy.

CCSi Completes Hurricane Katrina Support Project at HUD

On May 31st CCSi completed our special project to provide emergency support to those affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. This project was an add-on to CCSi's Technical Assistance Center support contract at the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Through this special contract CCSi was able to assist tens of thousands of hurricane sufferers in their search for new housing.

USDA Awards New Contract to CCSi to Extend LSRTIS Work for a Further Five Years

CCSi was awarded a new contract to develop the Second Phase of the Licensing Serial Release Testing Information System (LSRTIS). This contract award reflects a better recognition for the unparalleled, customer oriented consulting services provided during and after the LSRTIS Phase I implementation. The Center for Veterinary Biologics, CVB, is the regulatory authority for commercial veterinary biologics that are manufactured and marketed in the United States. LSRTIS is a system that is being developed to provide the business users with a variety of tools to support their business operations. Phase I of the system provided tools to centralize the various business processes that contributed to licensing a wide variety of biological products. Phase II of this system will integrate the testing operations that support the licensing operations and post licensing support testing for a variety of biologic products. This Phase also supports the Regulatory Operations that involve the Serial Release Operations that CVB monitors for compliance.

CCSi is a Member of Accenture Consortia for HHS NHIN Award

HHS Secretary Mike Leavitt announced November 10, 2005 the award of contracts totaling $18.6 million to four groups of health care and health information technology organizations to develop prototypes for a Nationwide Health Information Network (NHIN) architecture. The contracts awarded to these four consortia will move the nation toward the President's goal of personal electronic health records by creating a uniform architecture for health care information that can follow consumers throughout their lives.

CCSi Awarded VA My HealtheVet Project Management Office Support Services Contract

The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) awarded their My HealtheVet Project Management Office Support Services contract to Creative Computing Solutions, Inc. My HealtheVet (MHV) is an online portal used by Veterans and their families to manage their personal health information and connect to VHA service providers. The one year contract has a start date of September19, 2005 and a contract value of $3 million. CCSi engaged subcontract partners Apptis, Inc. of Falls Church, VA, and Learning Systems International (LSI) of Washington, D.C. to assist on MHV tasks. Under this contract, CCSi will work with the VHA to improve MHV, adding valuable functionality to the existing customer services tool.

Creative Computing Solutions, Inc. (CCSi) announced today that it has been awarded a prime contractor position on the U.S. Navy's Seaport Enhanced procurement vehicle. The contract is worth a total of $.3 billion annually. Department of Veterans Affairs awards CCSi/Fidelity Financing $12 million contract

To implement the findings of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Loan Administration redesign project, Creative Computing Solutions Inc. (CCSi) was awarded a five-year contract, with a life-cycle cost estimate of $12 million. The agreement, only recently disclosed, was awarded through a competitive COMMITS procurement on June 4, 2004. It places CCSi in charge of the redesign of the existing Veteran Benefits Administration (VBA) Loan Administration system. Fidelity National Financing Inc. (NYSE: FNF), a company that currently serves 51 percent of the mortgage servicing industry, will be CCSi's major partner in this project.
