How to Use Alliant SB
GSA designed Alliant Small Business to be fast and easy-to-use. Agencies can either direct order/direct bill (i.e., placing the order directly with CCSi) or they may choose to work through GSA’s Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS).
If your agency decides to go the direct order/direct bill route, it may be required to obtain Alliant SB training and to receive a delegation of procurement authority from GSA’s Small Business GWAC Center before issuing its first Alliant SB order. There are various ways to receive ASB training:- Self-paced on-line course at the GSA Center for Acquisition Excellence, www.gsa.gov/cae
- Conference call with one of the Alliant SB Procuring Contracting Officers (PCOs)
- On-site training for large groups of potential Ordering Contract Officers (OCOs)

Ordering from Alliant Small Business
Alternatively, you may wish to work with GSA’s Assisted Acquisition Services. AAS can provide a wide range of comprehensive acquisition and program management services, including:
- Requirements analysis
- Market research
- Acquisition planning and acquisition strategy development
- Development of any type of acquisition documentation, such as: Performance-based Statements of Work/Statements of Objectives; independent government cost estimates, technical evaluation criteria and technical evaluation plans, and quality assurance surveillance plans
- Signing and administering the contract and/or task order(s)
- Project management services, including schedule management and deliverable review
- Funds management
- Legal support
- Contract close-out
